About me
I was born in Olivos, near the river. I spent my childhood with my parents who were both writers.
All my life I was surrounded by books! I guess that was what made me write, draw and create them too.
Today I live in the city of Buenos Aires with my children, although part of my life still goes on near the river.
Before working as an illustrator, besides writing and drawing, I dedicated myself to graphic design.
The first book I illustrated - in 1994- was "Había una vez un delfín" written by Graciela Pérez Aguilar, for El Quirquincho House Publishing. The editor was Adela Basch. Since then, I have illustrated lots of books for: Alfaguara from Argentina and Puerto Rico; Santillana from Argentina, Puerto Rico and USA; Edebé from Argentina and Spain; Colihue; Estrada; Sigmar; AZ; Errepar; Atlántida and others. I have also made posters for UNICEF and for the Health Department, and have illustrated and designed book covers.
And, as I have always had other interests, besides doing books for children, I have made sculptures in "Cardboard stone" with Gachi Edelstein. In 2005, I did a series of masks which I called ObjetOs -paintings on palm leaves.
There is always something to do!
This year, 2006, Ediciones Calibroscopio has published my first book as an author: "UNO Y OTRO".
In between, I have taken part in individual and collective exhibitions, Bratislava 2001 and many others next to my colleagues from the Forum of Illustrators of Children’s Books and ADA (Association of Illustrators of Argentina).
